I/ Tiền tố phủ định

Được dùng với: acceptable, happy, healthy, comfortable, employment, real , usual, reliable, necessary, able, believable, aware….

Im: thường đi với cái từ bắt đầu là “p”
Eg: polite, possible…

il: thường đi với các từ bắt đầu là “l”
Eg:legal,ilogic,iliterate..

ir: đi với các từ bắt đầu bằng “r”
Eg: regular,relevant, repressible..

in
Eg: direct, formal, visible,dependent,experience

dis
Eg: like, appear, cover, qualify, repair, advantage,honest..

non
Eg: existent, smoke, profit…

II/ Hậu tố

ment (V+ment= N)
Eg: agreement, employment..

ion/tion (V+ion/tion= N)
Eg: action,production,collection..

ance/ence( V+ance/ence= N)
Eg: annoyance, attendance..

ty/ity (adj+ty/ity=N)
Eg: ability,responsibility, certainty..

ness( adj+ness)
Eg: happiness, laziness, kindness, richness…

er/or(V+er/or)
Eg: actor, teacher..

ist(V+ist)
Eg: typist, physicisist, scientist..

ent/ant(V+ent/ant=N)
Eg: student, assistant, accountant…

Eg: musician, mathematician

Eg: actress,waitress..
